DECKS

Pool deck resurfacing in Central Ohio.

Cracked, faded or slick concrete around a pool does not always need to be torn out. We assess what is underneath first and tell you honestly whether resurfacing or a rebuild is the right call.

WHAT WE CHECK FIRST

Resurfacing only works on a sound base.

Crack and slab condition
Surface cracks can often be resurfaced over. Structural cracks in the slab cannot, and we will tell you which one you have.
Slip resistance
Pool decks need a surface that stays safe wet. We factor texture and finish into the material choice, not just the look.
Drainage around the pool
Water needs somewhere to go. We check grading and drainage as part of the assessment, not as an afterthought.
When it is not a resurfacing job
If the slab itself has failed, resurfacing will not hold. We will say so instead of selling a finish that will not last.
WHAT IT COSTS

Priced by square footage and surface condition.

Cost depends on how much prep the existing surface needs and the finish you choose, so we quote after an in-person look.
POOL DECK RESURFACING QUESTIONS

Asked before the first visit, answered here.

Can any concrete pool deck be resurfaced?
Not always. Surface cracking and fading are usually fine to resurface. Structural cracks in the slab mean resurfacing will not hold, and we will tell you honestly which one you have.
How long does resurfacing last?
It varies by finish and how the surface is maintained. We will give you a real range for the product we recommend once we see the site.
Is resurfacing slippery when wet?
It should not be, if the right texture is used. Slip resistance is part of what we factor into the material choice for a pool deck specifically.
What if the deck needs more than resurfacing?
If the slab has failed, we will say so rather than resurface over a problem that will come back.
